Corona prevention at schools and daycare centres in eastern Ukraine

Such hygiene kits were distributed to 29 schools and day-care centres, along with cleaning utensils, disinfectants and toilet paper.

School No. 21 in Shcherbinovka is one of 29 schools in the Donetsk region where hygiene kits are distributed to educational institutions.

Before the 29 large, medium and small hygiene packages are distributed, the material has to be sorted, checked and packed. Then, one by one, the schools and daycare centres in the Donetsk region are approached and the disinfectants and cleaning materials are distributed. In addition, teachers are trained and information on hygiene and spacing rules is handed out.

School No. 21 in Shcherbinovka has seen a lot since it was built in 1898. Famous writers and folk heroes studied here, but there has never been a situation like the one the Corona pandemic is causing now. Everything was closed for weeks, but since September the children have been back at school and are trying to protect themselves from the virus with masks, disinfection and distance. In addition to maths and science, regular hand-washing is now part of everyday school life.
