Der Paritätische/ Paritätischer Landesverband Sachsen
arche noVa is a member of the Paritätischer Landesverband Sachsen (the state association of a German charity association in Saxony). The Paritätische is an association of independent organizations, institutions and groupings engaging in social work. It is one of the biggest umbrella associations in Germany connecting about 10,000 member organizations from all fields of social work.
Aktion Deutschland Hilft
By being a member of the Paritätische, arche noVa has also been a member of Germany’s Relief Coalition “Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH)” since 2003. ADH is an association of German relief organizations, which together provide quick and effective aid at the time of great catastrophes and emergencies abroad. Other key aspects are quality management and the qualification of employees. In urgent times of major catastrophes, ADH addresses the public with a collective appeal for donations. The money is distributed among the member organization based on a distribution key according to the organizations’ capacity and performance profile.

WASH-Network
The German WASH-network was founded in 2011; arche noVa is among its founding members. All member organizations implement international projects in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene and are involved in the political lobbying that goes along. The activities concentrate on professionalizing work through a continuous exchange of knowledge. Another goal is to improve the connection between emergency or transitional aid and development cooperation.
Active Alliance „Dresden hilft“
In 2005, arche noVa and the city of Dresden signed a cooperation agreement called “Dresden hilft” (“Dresden helps”) triggered by the devastating tsunami in Southeast Asia. Since then, the cooperation continued has implemented several projects. The Mayor of Dresden, Helma Orosz, accompanied the work of arche noVa with collective appeals for donations and joint public relations.
Rural Water and Supply Network (RWSN)
arche noVa has been a member of the Rural Water and Supply Network (RWSN) since 2010. This international network of NGOs represents the interests of those lacking access to safe and clean water in rural areas all over the world. The organizations exchange knowledge and experience, thus improving their competence and project quality. Sven Seifert is the managing director and water specialist of arche noVa. In 2011, he presented our project in Sri Lanka as one of the selected best practice projects at the 6. RWSN-Forum in Uganda.
Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA)
arche noVa has been a member of the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) since 2010. SuSanA is an international network of partner organizations from 45 countries that share the vision of a sustainable solution for the global sanitary crisis. SuSanA views itself as a working and discussion platform acting as a catalyst to advance the political discussion.
Entwicklungspolitisches Netzwerk Sachsen (network of development policy in Saxony)
arche noVa is one of the major actors in the “Entwicklungspolitisches Netzwerk Sachsen (ENS)“. The association of unions, groupings and initiatives forms a platform that combines their lobbying and public relations. Informational and educational offerings complete the program. arche noVa cooperates with the ENS especially in the field of “Education for Sustainable Development / Global Learning” with the conceptual development and the organization of joint events.
Berliner Entwicklungspolitischer Ratschlag (Berlin development policy counsel)
The network of developmental initiatives, associations and groupings in Berlin in called BER. It promotes Global Learning at schools in Berlin. BER publishes a list of competent and recommended NGOs working in the field of Global Learning. arche noVa has been on this list since 2010. Through our membership, we actively support the lobbying and networking of BER.
Network „Dresden für Alle“
The network “Dresden für Alle” is an association of more than 100 organizations, institutions and unions. The network connects people and organizations that promote a democratic, humane and inclusive urban society according to the fundamental consensus.
