Our organization is located in Germany where it is normal to see a doctor when you are ill. However, many people around the world do not have this opportunity: countless people live in areas of conflict where the health system broke down almost completely. The same goes for natural disasters; providing health care for the affected people is often difficult.
arche noVa improves the situation in such areas e.g. through mobile health teams and the support of hospitals. The activities include supplying drugs as well as securing the payment of physicians.
Education and prevention are also very important. Many diseases spread e.g. because of contaminated water or a lack of hygiene. We implement educational activities and hygiene trainings and build sanitary facilities to prevent infections. Thus, we improve the living conditions of many people in our project areas.
