Myanmar (Burma): School WASH and Community WASH in Northern Shan State

arche nova has been active in Northern Shan State since November 2013. In cooperation with our local partner organisation it has been supporting local communities with School Infrastructure, WASH and Disaster Risk Reduction projects.

Currently arche nova is active in 30 villages in  in Shan State focusing on partly School WASH infrastructures where possible as well as alternatively on Community WASH, since the education system has been badly affected by the recent political developments.

Global program in 14 countries

In order to protect the ecosystem in our project regions, arche nova pursues a green humanitarian aid approach in Myanmar. When planning, implementing, and monitoring aid measures, we take a forward-looking, environmentally friendly approach that is adapted to the local habitat. These activities are part of a global program that we are implementing in cooperation with ASB, the German Toilet Organization, and numerous local partners.
