Back home: arche noVa gives hope to people in the war zone
The small village of Staryi Saltiv was almost completely destroyed by Russian attacks. After the area was liberated, many families returned to find their homes in ruins.
63-year-old Lyubov Demeshko has spent her entire life in Staryi Saltiv. Her house was badly damaged during the war. She and her husband lacked the financial means and the strength to repair it themselves. To enable them to spend the winter in warmth, arche noVa helped them to rebuild it.
Zoia Khabarova is a co-founder of Good Actions, arche noVa's local partner organisation. Among other things, she distributes hygiene packages to people who are particularly affected by the consequences of the war. The packages contain soap, toilet paper, cleaning products, toothpaste and menstrual products, among other things.
