Water supply at Jowhar Bile School

The Jowhar Bile Primary and Secondary School is the central place of learning for the children and young people from Guulwade. This is where the foundation for their future is being laid.

Abdifatah Nur Abdullahi is one of the students in the highest grade level.

During the school days, Abdifatah and the other students can now use the new school toilets anytime.

As part of our project, brand new sanitation facilities were built. For the first time, there are separate toilets for boys and girls, as well as handwashing stations with running water.

After washing his hands, Abdifatah likes to go to the water tap on the school grounds. Here, there is water available to drink.

It’s much easier to learn without thirst.

Abdifatah is a diligent student. He wants to pursue higher education. "Maybe one day I will return to my school as a teacher."
