Emergency aid in Ukraine

In Dnipro, our partner organisation New Way provides people in refugee shelters with basic necessities: mattresses, pillows, warm blankets and water.

Our staff member Marta Glazcynska at the border crossing near the Polish town of Hrebenne talking to a couple who fled Ukraine. They are travelling on to their Polish relatives.

Packing campaign at the Zentralwerk in Dresden: 150 packages with hygiene articles were packed by volunteers.

Then they went to the Ukrainian-Polish border in a van organised by SachsenEnergie. Our partner organisation PAH made sure they arrived in Drohobych in western Ukraine.

In Kyiv, as everywhere else in Ukraine, people are staying in cellars for weeks out of fear for their lives.
